Justin Beck is a producer, engineer, musician and DJ born and raised in New York City. Signed to the legendary Todd Terry’s label Inhouse Records at 21, his tracks, under the alias Lewis Beck, have been rinsed by some of the biggest names on the global dance music circuit including Maceo Plex, Hot Since 82, Doorly, Amine Edge & Dance and Tin Man.
Originally finding his love for music through guitar, he began producing at 15 years old, and shortly thereafter began being mentored by Grammy Award winning engineer Dave Darlington. A compulsive creative and unabashed sonic nerd, Justin’s worked as both a producer and engineer in a wide range of genres, and has become a seminal fixture on the Dallas-based label Audiophile Deep. 2018 saw his music premiered by club culture publication Mixmag and a remix released on neo-acid master Tin Man’s label Global A.
He is a student of all forms of music, with a deep love for jazz and psychedelic, and as a mix engineer excels at manipulating psycho-acoustics and spatial dynamics. With previous teaching experience at other noteworthy NYC music production schools, Justin has a passion for sharing his knowledge and experience with others.
