Underground DJ Course

If you want to learn to play underground Techno and House at a professional level, then this class if for you! Those who pass an evaluation and are up for the challenge will get a chance to play during our club night at the end of their course. Every single student who has taken the course in LA has gone on to perform in the club, and we are looking forward to seeing what our NY crew can do!

Group sizes are capped at no more than four, to ensure maximum playing time for each student. Our Underground DJ course is taught by an expert roster of recognized DJs with practical experience in the underground house and techno scene, to create a comprehensive program taught in a like-minded environment. At Garnish, we believe learning how to DJ should be FUN, not frustrating, and part of this means playing the music YOU want to play! For those looking to play more commercial electronic music, we have a separate EDM DJ course.

This course is designed for complete beginners, as well as DJs with some experience, who would like to get serious and learn proper techniques on the latest brands and equipment such as Pioneer Nexus and Native instruments.

For students coming to NYC from out of town to take the course, please keep in mind that our club night is not always scheduled immediately following the course end date. If you are unable to make your scheduled club night, we can still include you in a future lineup!
